Tech Talk's Guide to the "NEW" 3DS (2015) and you

Hello and Welcome to the "NEW" 3DS (2015) Guide, for the purposes of this guide I will often refer to the NEW 3DS as the 3DS 2015.
This guide should cover the regular sized 3DS 2015 as well as the 3DS 2015 XL/LL. Although this is written from the perspective of my US 3DS 2015 XL.

I try to cover as many guides and tutorials for the "NEW" 3DS (2015).

Introductions
I am sure by now you already read about the 3DS 2015 from various websites on the internet,
read about it in gaming magazines and such so I going to be brief.

The "NEW" 3DS (2015) now comes with a C-stick or Circle Pad Pro stick built in.
This C-stick will take over the functions of the Circle Pad Pro in games that support it, like Kid Icarus, Majora's mask and Monster Hunter 4.
There also a a LZ and RZ buttons similar to the Circle Pad Pro

Nintendo expects you to ether hold on to your old 3DS charger or buy a new Nintendo brand 3DS Charger (sold separately)
So in other words, make sure you buy a extra charger, as when you trade your old 3DS to Gamestop they will not accept the trade without a charger.
Also their (GameStop's) store brand USB charger is cheaper than the official Nintendo charger (at GameStop)

How to Transfer from your old 3DS to the "NEW" 3DS (2015).

Here is the official Nintendo guide here

It is a fricking mess.

Here is IGN's guide
http://www.ign.com/wikis/nintendo-3ds/3DS_to_New_3DS_or_3DS_XL_System_Transfer

Here my Guide. Bare with me as I didn't document my own system transfer so I don't have any pictures or video.

What you need
Your old 3DS with your current settings, saves, downloads ect...
The 3DS 2015
a size #0 phillps screw driver
a SD card card reader and a Mirco SD card to SD card adapter
a PC preferably Win 7, 8 or 8.1 according to Nindy (Macs and Linux is also possible)
Broadband Wifi access (for both 3DS handhelds)
Optional a MicroSD card you want to use. MicroSD card compatibility List Note, your 3DS 2015 comes with a Toshiba 4gb micro SD card
You will want a MicroSD card that the same size or larger than your OLD 3DS SD card storage size.
This is the MicroSD card I ended up using http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Memory-Adapter--SDSDQUAN-032G-G4A-Version/dp/B00M55C0NS

1. Access your old 3DS, head to the Settings Icon, open up Other settings
2. Old your old system click on System Transfer and choose the "Transfer from Nintendo 3DS" button
3. Repeat the process with the 3DS 2015
4. on your OLD 3DS chose to send, on the 3DS 2015 choose to receive.
5. Follow the transfer wizard on both consoles.
6. When prompt to do so Choose Transfer Data Using a PC, at this point you need your screw driver to remove the back panel of your 3DS 2015 so you can access the MicroSD card
7. When you are told to, remove your SD card from your old 3DS. Put your SD card into the card reader of your PC, copy the whole SD card to your PC where you can find it. (if you have a Micro SD card and adapter in your OLD 3DS, you can skip Steps 7 and 8)
8. replace the old SD card with the new micro SD card in it's adapter. Paste the folders and files into your new micro SD card
9. Place the MicroSD card which now has the settings and files in of your old 3DS into the NEW 3DS 2015. Place the cover back on.
10. Finish the Wizard and enjoy.

The Number you transfer is unlimited but Nintendo will restrict you to one transfer every 7 days per device.

How to wireless connect your NEW 3DS 2015 with your PC for MicroSD card management.
Why would you do this, so you can avoid removing and replacing the back cover all the time.
