didn't really know what to title this post as, but here goes nothin..
so I got this stick off eBay for 33 bucks. stick is in great condition, all sanwa, aside from the USB cord that is falling apart at both ends. I knew this when I was bidding on it, so as soon as I won the auction, I grabbed a Neutrik nausb-w to just fix it myself.

Clik here to view.
after opening the case and looking at the PCB, I'm noticing that there are 5 wires, instead of the usual 4, (red, green, black, white) which is titled "SGND" and is right under the regular ground.

the only thing I can imagine that extra ground being for is maybe to power the mic/headset stuff?
can I just leave that hole empty and solder in the regular 4 wires needed for a USB?
