I have asked a couple of others on reddit this question, and they thought somebody here may have an answer:
I have a Madcatz Sf x Tekken fightstick pro, which I like, but it is stuck in a "down" position. I initially read online that this could be due to a faulty washer internally. It is out of warentee, so madcatz sent me the new joystick part (the entire joystick mechanism). I installed the new part, and it is still having the exact same problem.
The only explanations I see are:
1) I accidentally installed the same faulty part (but I was careful, I think this is very unlikely)
2) The part they provided had the same proiblem (it looked like it might not have been new, so this is possible)
3) The problem is not in the joystick mechanism itself.
Any ideas on how to salvage it, or if it is even worth it? If it is not worth it, does anyone have recommendations for a good joystick that would preferably both work on the playstation and PC, or even any good modders to order from in the midwest?
I guess I am wondering if anyone knows which part could be broken, and if it is something it would be worth trying to fix myself though I don't have any experience, or if it would be worth it to try and find somebody else to fix it for me.
