I have purchased a Hatsune Miku PS3 controller about 2 years ago.
And I bring them to places for people to use it and play the game
but after about a year or so, it has become scratched after constant use, and does not work like it used to.
the touch pad register as a PS3 controller's R, or L stick, if you swipe it, it will register as you have pushed one of the sticks, if you tap it, it register as a R3 click. since it has been all scratched, when you swipe it, it register multiple pushes on the stick.
I have contacted hori USA, and they are not responding via email at all, since I have sent it a while ago and a few times.
I have also contacted hori Japan to see if they sell one. and they said unfortunately I will have to mail the controller into their repair shop in Japan for it to be repaired. which will cost me a ton of money since I am in Canada.
so I am wondering if any of you have any ideas on how to fix this by myself, at least so I can use it for another event.
I searched online and they said I can paint over it, by taking off all existing paint on the touch pad and then apply another one, I am just wondering what kind of paint, and if anyone has tried it or not.
Here is a picture of it
