i bought the Mad Catz Tournament Edition 2 (Xbox 360 version) stick and it arrived today. I'd planned on only using the stick on my PC, and the store page assured me it would work fine:

so, i unbox the stick and plug it in, and i start having issues right off the bat. first, my PC didn't want to recognize the stick. i'd plug it in, the green 360 logo would light up on the stick, and then it would go out. i tried multiple USB ports (which work perfectly fine with everything else i own), but the problem persisted. finally, i was able to get it to stay on in one of my USB ports. as a side note, i used a normal 360 controller last night for another game and it had absolutely no issues.
once i get into Ultra SF4, i start having more issues. now, keep in mind i'm not new to SF, nor am i new to arcade sticks, nor am i new to Mad Catz sticks (i've owned a couple before). so, i go into training mode to start practicing stuff, and it feels like my inputs are dropping. i'd do 2-3 jabs in a row and one would just drop out of the input, or i'd go to move the joystick in a certain direction and the character would just stand there, so i'd have to return the stick to resting position and move it again to get the character to move. or i'd try to do a DP quickly to react to something and the input wouldn't go through.
as a last resort, i loaded up SFxT on my 360 (i don't have SF4 on 360 anymore, so i couldn't do a 1 to 1 comparison). the stick was recognized instantly when i plugged it in. i went into training mode and messed around, and it felt ok, but i can't be positive since i don't play SFxT. but i didn't notice any dropped inputs.
so, any idea what's wrong? i really don't see how it could be my PC since every other USB device i use works fine, regardless of which USB ports i plug them into. and like i said, i've used Mad Catz sticks before on PC and they've worked fine.
