Switch to enable button?

I've got a Qanba Q4RAF, and it has a start button on the face. My intent is to get a SPST (single pole, single throw) switch, wire the signal to the switch and then to the button, leave the ground wire as-is. I would install the switch on the back panel of the case.

Has anyone done this?
